Year 2 Mixed Football Team meet Teddy Sheringham!

On Thursday afternoon, our Year 2 mixed team represented the school in the ISA Football Tournament.

The children did The Lyceum proud with some incredible displays of skill and sportsmanship and played in the new kit for the first time.

The squad worked as a team unit brilliantly – with some scorching attacks (scoring over 10 goals including a wonderfully worked free-kick), marvellous defending and superb goalkeeping! The final outcome was a place in the semi-final where the team were pipped to the victory by the eventual tournament winners.

Excitingly, the team were presented with their trophy by ex England international footballer Teddy Sheringham and current professional Premier League player Darryl Janmaat who were there to watch the tournament! Overall, the team were enthralling and produced some magnificent displays. Well done Year 2!!!
