We had the most amazing day on Happiness Day on Wednesday, where Year 1 – 6 took the train to Stratford.
In the morning, we all went to the cinema to watch Lilo and Stitch, followed by a picnic in Stratford Park, and after lunch, we held an inter-house bowling competition. At the end of the day, before coming home, we had a play in the park followed by a delicious ice cream to keep cool. It was a great day, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. There was something for everyone, and it was lovely to see our older Year 6 children take on the responsibility of looking after the younger children during the bowling – teaching them how to bowl and encouraging them throughout the afternoon.
A big thank you to all the staff for looking after the children during the day and helping them have fun, but a special thank you to Mrs Taggart for organising the whole day and making sure it was a real success.
