Breakfast Club

We have introduced a breakfast club serving simple breakfasts at school from 8 – 8.30am. The charge for this will be £5 per morning and is an ad-hoc club.

Before and after school clubs

We offer a fantastic range of clubs internally organised as well as those arranged by external companies. The clubs we currently run from the school start from £140 depending on the club, but this is subject to change going into new terms.

The current programme of after school activities, and the costs, are available on request.

Sibling Fees

If more than one child from the same family attends the school, a reduction of 10% is made for the second and each subsequent child. Reductions do not apply to after-school activities, holiday clubs, educational visits or residential experiences.

Leaving Lyceum

A full term’s notice in writing must be given to cancel the acceptance of a place or to withdraw a child from the school. Unless such notice is given, a full term’s fees are payable before the child finishes at The Lyceum, in lieu of notice. For this purpose, notice must match school term, not half terms.

Registration fee and Deposits

A non-refundable registration fee of £100 is payable when an application form is submitted to the school. This does not mean that a place is available. Your child will be placed on a list for the appropriate year of entry.

A deposit of £5000 is payable on acceptance of a place.  This deposit is returned when your child leaves the school, providing you have given one full term’s notice if leaving prior to the final term in Year 6. If a full term’s notice is not given or you withdraw your application, the deposit is nonrefundable

Nursery Voucher Grants

The Lyceum is registered with the London Borough of Hackney. Therefore, all children who attend Nursery or Reception (until their 5th birthday) are entitled to a Nursery Voucher Grant each term providing they are not claiming funding at another registered setting.

Additional Costs

The school can arrange individual tuition for musical instruments and singing. Vocal lessons are normally offered only to older juniors and only after a successful audition. Instrumental and vocal lessons take place both during the school day and after school, at a cost for a course of 10 half-hour lessons. Parents are invoiced soon after the beginning of the term. This cost also includes ensemble training at the right time and inclusion in orchestra and Chamber Choir where appropriate.

From time to time children are taken out of school for educational visits to support the curriculum.  If there is a cost, parents will be notified in advance by letter and the cost will be added to their invoice. There is usually one visit per half term and where possible we use public transport.

Residential visits are organised on a regular basis for children in years 3-6.  Older children are offered an annual opportunity to travel to a European city.  Such visits are planned well in advance and parents fully informed of any costs payable.
