Exclusive Look: Behind the Scenes of the ‘Pharmacist First’ Campaign Shoot

We’re excited to share some highlights from our recent “Pharmacist First” campaign shoot with Boots, a project that was as rewarding as it was fun.

On the day of the “Pharmacist First” campaign shoot, the energy was as sunny as the weather! The children involved were absolute stars: they learned their scripts quickly, brought incredible natural enthusiasm, and were completely comfortable in front of the camera. Beyond that, they also got a unique behind-the-scenes experience of how a professional shoot comes together.

From watching the directors call the shots to seeing camera crews in action, the kids were completely immersed in the process. They experienced firsthand how performances are shaped, how lighting and camera angles matter, and how teamwork brings a creative vision to life. Many of them even had the chance to interact with the crew, learning about microphones, cameras, and how each role contributes to the final product. It was a hands-on lesson in creativity, confidence, and collaboration.

Huge thanks to all the parents, who were beyond supportive, helping with small interviews, encouraging their children, and being flexible whenever we needed to adjust timings or shots.

A special shout-out to Headmaster Mike Stanley and the Admissions Manager, Charlotte Bird, who were instrumental in organising. They didn’t just help with logistics; Mike Stanley’s own interview added such a powerful voice to the campaign, and his commitment to the project was evident at every stage.

We captured so much more than just footage: laughter, learning, genuine moments, and the excitement of the children experiencing a professional shoot for the first time. It reminded us how important it is to work with people who share the same vision, especially for projects that impact the wider community.

Thank you to everyone who played a part, the children, their families, school staff, Boots UK, Ask The Impossible, and Yellow br teams, for making this campaign possible. We can’t wait to collaborate with you again.

About The Lyceum

The Lyceum School is a place where every child is cherished, known, and celebrated. Situated in the vibrant heart of the City of London, our school offers a nurturing, co-educational environment founded on the pillars of kindness, creativity, confidence, and community. We inspire a deep love of learning through an engaging, topic-based curriculum using London as our classroom, enriched by STEAM, language, arts, and wellbeing-focused initiatives like mindfulness and yoga.

With small class sizes, high staff-to-pupil ratios, and a strong pastoral framework, including our House System and accessible pastoral support, we prioritise each child’s personal growth just as much as academic success.

Located near Old Street, Liverpool Street, Moorgate and Shoreditch stations, our modern, light-filled five-storey building with specialist art, science, STEAM studios and outdoor space provides a dynamic setting that’s seamlessly integrated with London’s rich cultural resources. At The Lyceum, learning comes alive every day, preparing children to become confident, compassionate, and curious individuals ready to contribute positively to the world.

At The Lyceum, we welcome children from all backgrounds, and admissions are not streamed. The final decision rests with the school, and where a child may have special educational, medical, or behavioural needs, we carefully consider assessments and reports to ensure the right support is in place.
