Welcome: rich, dynamic, and exciting.
Our co-educational school is a gem in the heart of the city of London where we nurture our children and help develop good, kind young people. We are academically ambitious, and we want our children to be happy and to develop a lifelong love of learning.
Through a broad curriculum offering, coupled with our highly skilled and enthusiastic staff team, we will discover the unique genius that is within each child. This will enable them to develop into young people who are truly self confident and who will make a positive contribution to the world.
We are housed in a beautiful 5-storey building, with adjoining astro, specialist Art, Science and STEAM studio, library, and dining room.
We provide an exciting and challenging curriculum so our students gain a love of learning, a thirst for knowledge and an appreciation of the arts.
Based near Shoreditch and a stone’s throw from Old Street and Liverpool Street stations, we have a wealth of resources right on our doorstep that we regularly take advantage of. Be it lessons in local museums, tours of the Royal Parks or trips to London’s theatres – we aim to afford all of our students the very best experiences and hands-on education.
Our History
The Lyceum’s story began in 1997 at the hands of Lynn Hannay and Jeremy Rowe, a Deputy Head and Headteacher of a state school in Hackney.
They founded The Lyceum with a thematic and flexible teaching model, looking to infuse creativity into academic success. That ethos is still true to this day.
In 2019 we moved into our current building on Worship street after many years at a site just round the corner at Paul Street.
