Horacio was born in Portugal and was brought up in a small village in the countryside. At school, he was known for his football prowess where he played in midfield and defence. He was always first when competing in running races and was keen to trampoline until he overshot the crash mat! At 16, he followed in his father’s footsteps and worked in a brick making factory, helping out in a bicycle shop at the weekends. He was so skilled at mending things that he was soon offered a full-time job at the shop. He met his wife in Portugal and they came to England 34 years ago. He has worked at The Lyceum for over 22 years. He loves animals and has 2 Yorkshire terriers called Tiger and Lilly.
