St. Paul’s Cathedral Trip

Year 1 and 2 had a fantastic trip to St. Paul’s Cathedral on Tuesday. We enjoyed a tour with Terry who showed us the gallery with information about the Great Fire. We got to lie down in the middle of the Cathedral and look up at the dome. It was amazing! Terry also took us into the private section where the special priests sit. Our little legs climbed 259 steps to reach the whispering gallery where we sat quietly and did sketches of the dome. It was a beautiful view looking down on everyone wandering around. We helped Terry tell the history of St. Paul’s Cathedral and what happened during The Great Fire through acting. What a lovely learning day we had! Both the children and teachers enjoyed a fantastic day out.
