The Lyceum’s first-ever STEAM fair was a vibrant showcase of creativity and talent across all year groups.
Reception impressed with their handcrafted Christmas plywood decorations, setting a festive tone for the event and also created computer generated artwork! Year 1 explored the world of sound and technology with musical rockets and even designed an interactive Scratch game that cleverly used the camera. Year 2 added charm with their puppet creations and a Micro:bit activity picker, demonstrating their coding skills. Year 3 took a nostalgic turn, crafting Tamagotchis, generating random ideas, and experimenting with art programs. Meanwhile, Year 4 created inventive musical instruments, an immersive virtual reality experience with cubes, and a poetic robot generator.
The older children in Years 5 and 6 showcased impressive robots inspired by biomimicry, particularly emulating insects, and light-sensitive creations that demonstrated advanced technical skills.
Our first STEAM fair highlighted each year group’s achievements and allowed the students to shine in their STEAM journeys.
