Trip to Museum of London

On the first day back, the children of Year 3 and 4 walked to the Museum of London where they were introduced to their Roman topic.

Whilst at the museum, the children meandered around the Roman exhibition and learnt about Gladiator fights as well as home life for rich Romans. After this, the children took part in a hands-on workshop where they learned about life during the Roman period by handling artefacts from Londinium. Some of the artefacts that the children investigated included: an amphora, keys, a horseshoe, oil lamps and part of a hypocaust.

The trip was incredibly interesting and informative and a great way to introduce the children to the Romans.
