We were the first ‘in person’ event for the Lord Mayor!

Our academic year ended on a high note as we welcomed the Lord Mayor of the City of London and his lovely wife, the Lady Mayoress, for the second time this academic year.

We are very proud that all year groups have returned before the end of the year and the children have very much enjoyed seeing their class teachers and classmates once again. The whole school sat in the AstroTurf, in their bubbles and welcomed the Lord Mayor of the City of London and the Lady Mayoress. Despite all that had gone on during the term, our community was back, stronger, and more unified than ever.

The Lord Mayor had the very important job of announcing the winners of our Seeds of Hope Competition. The Seeds of Hope competition was a competition for all staff, parents and children to submit something that would spread joy and hope during lockdown. The concept came from the acknowledgment that creativity can flourish even when things are difficult, and the resulting artwork is certainly a testament to that. Our Chairman, Aatif Hassan, spoke to us all about the concept of GOOB; literally, ‘good out of bad’ and how important it is to keep positive and hopeful.

Thank you to all children, staff and parents who entered the competition and well done to our finalists:
