Year 5 & 6 visit the Barbican Library!

On Tuesday of last week, Y5 & 6 paid a visit to the Barbican Library where they listened to author Jane Hardstaff talking about her two published novels for children – The Executioner’s Daughter and River Daughter, set in Tudor London. She explained how she set about writing her stories and the ideas and influences important to her.  She also took time to meet the children individually afterwards and sign copies of her books that the children purchased.  It was a pleasure to accompany Miss Kent, Mrs Mellor and Mrs Peacock to this event.  We are very lucky to have such an exceptional library within walking distance of the school!
